Welcome to the Antwerp Local School and our Website! Hello, The mission of the Antwerp Local School is to enable all students to become productive and resourceful members of an ever-changing world. To that end, we have much to celebrate. We opened our new school on January 11, 2004, and the facility itself enhances the quality of all our programs. It ties into our vision that students, as lifelong learners, will be involved through the tools of technology in an interactive-collaborative learning process in a safe-accepting environment. We strongly believe that we are in-line with both our mission and our vision. Our school has achieved an excellent rating from the state of Ohio on its report card in 2002, 2004, 2006, and again in 2007. We are proud of the high quality academic programs that we are able to offer our current students, who are tomorrow’s leaders. The wide range of academic programs includes but is not limited to: Gifted and Talented, Advanced Placement, Post Secondary Options, and vocational career services. We also offer students a broad array of co-curricular and extra curricular opportunities in the arts, athletics, and personal enrichment. Our students, staff, and programs are outstanding in every way. We sincerely believe that the Antwerp Local School is the community’s school. We invite our community to be an integral part of our school. We are proud to continue to invite our senior citizens age 62 and older to join us, free of charge in enjoying athletic and musical/drama events throughout the year. Please call the athletic department (419 258-5421) to receive your Senior Admission Cards. Finally, this website is designed to be of service to you, the user. Unlike many schools, who contract out this service, our students design and update the site one period per school day throughout the year. If you find a certain aspect particularly helpful please let us know. If you have a suggestion for improvement, please let us know as well. Working together, I know that the 2007-2008 school year will be a great success for our students, our staff and our Antwerp Community.
