| Introduces students to a healthful way of living in their environment. First aid and safety, CPR training, alcohol and drug abuse, sex education and family relationships are studied. |

Students are introduced to a total fitness program to fulfill state requirements of one semester of physical education. Activities include individual and team sports, as well as weightlifting, swimming, and cardiovascular training. |
| Advanced Physical Education |

Prerequisites: Grades 11+ (A grade of an "A" or "B" must be attained in the previous physical education class. A grade of "C" attained in the previous physical education class will require the approval of the instructor to take an advanced class) |
The advanced classes are electives and a privilege to take for students sincere about developing skills through a higher level of instruction. A serious approach, a sense ofresponsibility, and effective motivation are expected. Individual and team sport skills are developed. Grades are based on skill performance in class, skill testing, written tests, attendance, participation, and dressing for class. |
